Webinar: A Penny Saved is a Penny Earned: Better Requirements Metrics

Presented by: Glenn R. Brûlé, CSM, Executive Director of Client Solutions, ESI & Amy Nichols, Senior Vice President, Technology Integration Office, Wachovia

Recorded on: 14 September 2010

PDUs: 1.0*

As the practice of business analysis continues to mature in many organisations, the demand for quantifiable results also increases. “Show me the money”, “How do you justify the investment in both time and resources?”, and “what impact will these practices have on the organisation, projects, the solution development lifecycle, the goods and services, processes, and the tasks and activities” All of these questions are most often difficult to answer but even more difficult to put into practice. Glenn Brûlé and Amy Nichols, will explore and share their insights on a hierarchical approach that will help you consider what practices might be most practical for measuring your requirements success.

Learning objectives will include:

  • Develop a structured approach for beginning to quantify the impact requirements may have on your organisational goals and objectives
  • Understand how organisational goals and objectives can demonstrate a financial impact to the smallest task when producing goods and services through a project lifecycle or solution development lifecycle.
  • Consider an organisation's level of maturity and apply requirements metrics accordingly.
