Claude Maley is Managing Director of Mit Consultants, a consultancy and education practice servicing international clients in managing change and Chairman of a business solutions company. He started his career as a systems engineer with IBM in 1965, after reading estate management and building construction at the London School of Building, and has held various management positions for international organizations and companies.

His functional management and consulting experience with major corporations such as Alcatel, BP, Cartier, Caterpillar, Ericson, GE, Hewlett-Packard, IMS International, Overseas Containers Limited, Renault Automobile, Siemens to name but a few, has spanned more than 35 years in manufacturing, distribution, transportation and marketing services sectors. This has exposed him to a variety of situations that have all forged a deep understanding of the issues governing the management of change by projects.

Mr Maley is a PMP, Professional Instructor and Lecturer in general organizational and project management, sales and marketing, leadership and motivation. In the practice of his consulting and education profession, he has worked with more than 60 different nationalities in more than 40 nations in all continents. He is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Italian. Author of educational courses and papers on business solutions, management of change by projects, organizational management and leadership, Mr Maley is a Member of the International Project Management Association, the Project Management Institute and the Association Francophone de Management de Projet.

 

Werner List has a strong background in marketing, sales, and consulting within the information technology industry. He has been working as a trainer for 10 years, teaching project management and general management methods. He has taught courses on team development, quality management, and train-the-trainer. In addition to teaching, Mr List has also designed courses and human resource development programs.

Apart from his training activities, Mr List has managed numerous projects, including complex start-up projects for the German insurance industry to build up its organization in Eastern Europe. In his work as a project manager for a consulting company, Mr List managed various TQM projects in the automotive, machine building, and pharmaceutical industries.

Mr List is an active member of the Munich Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI). He has studied process
engineering at the Technical University Munich and has received his diploma in economic sciences from the FH Rosenheim
(Germany). Mr List is also certified by PMI® as a project management professional (PMP).

 

Peter Dunton is a project management consultant in the United Kingdom, with more than 30 years experience in the IT industry and 15 years experience in project management. Mr Dunton specializes in project management methodology, techniques, and practices, with a particular emphasis on education, training, and running facilitated workshops to promote project management skills and ultimately project success. He is an advocate of the facilitated workshop in the identification and definition of projects to ensure they begin on the right basis.

Mr Dunton has worked with clients in IT application and infrastructure implementation projects across a wide range of industries. Recently, he has concentrated on business projects in which he as advised clients and trained their staff. He lectures both nationally and internationally on the aspects of managing business-related projects and in 1996 won the APM's prestigious Sir Monte Finniston Award for contribution to the art and science of project management. Before joining the project management professional community at IBM, Mr Dunton worked as a technical specialist within education and marketing services.

Mr Dunton holds a PhD in radiation physics from London University. He is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI). He is also a fellow of the RSA and a member of PMI.

 

Luciano Garagna has more than 20 years of experience in project management, training and consulting. He develops and teaches project management courses across Europe and Middle East and leads consulting engagements with large customers on project start-ups, audits and reviews.

Mr Garagna is also an Adjunct Professor at the Master in Project Management of the University of Verona, Italy. He regularly speaks at management meetings and conferences and was recognized with the Palme d’Or Award for the Best Practice Track at PMI® Europe 2002 in Cannes, France.

Mr Garagna is a founding member of the first Italian chapter of the Project Management Institute (1997), is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) by PMI® and has chaired the Italian Translation Verification Committee for the third edition of the ‘Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge’ (2004).

He created and manages Into Consulting, a consulting and training practice.

 

Simon Harris, PMP, is an experienced project manager. He has broad brush experience of service and project delivery in complex environments gained in over 24 years, primarily in banking and insurance sectors but also in utilities, local government, defence and oil & gas.

Mr Harris has established / run several programme offices for change initiatives with budgets of £25m p.a / £100m total spend. He is also an established author of professional level training in project management, programme management and related disciplines such as quality and risk, software configuration management and business-focused IT disaster recovery. He focuses on understanding good practice and how to apply it in an imperfect world in order to achieve balance between value and rigor.
