Marcia B. Riley, Vice President of Talent Management & Human Resources, ESI International, brings a diverse background in learning and talent management to the guidance and growth of the ESI team. She also shares her expertise and enthusiasm with ESI clients by providing executive counsel on the refinement and development of talent management programmes. Her career spans more than 20 years and multiple industries including healthcare, IT and financial services.
In addition to delivering client workshops, webinars and consulting, she leads – and often delivers – ESI’s various global talent development programmes. Marcia also maintains an active speaking schedule, particularly within the professional training and development community.
As a respected expert in leadership development, strategic workforce planning and change management, she regularly serves as a media spokesperson and authors several related articles annually.
Prior to joining ESI, Marcia held several talent management and learning leadership positions with such prestigious organisations as Inova Health Systems and Sallie Mae.
She also served as president of her own consultancy, where she worked with a broad array of clients including: VeriSign, the U.S. Senate, the Nature Conservancy and the Society for Human Resource Management.
Marcia is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management, the Human Resources Leadership Forum and the American Society for Training and Development.
She holds a bachelor’s in psychology from Nasson College, Springvale, ME and has completed post-graduate work at The John Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.
